Rescue 1: 100% Community Funded!
November 11, 2025
On November 11, 2025, the Wheaton Fire Prevention Association, a non-profit organization made up of the members of Wheaton Fire & Rescue, proudly presented a check for $69,721.99 to the Town of Wheaton — fully funding the purchase of our brand new Rescue 1 vehicle!
What makes this moment so special is that Rescue 1 was paid for entirely through donations and community fundraising. Thanks to the incredible generosity and support of our residents, friends, and local businesses.
The new Rescue 1 was designed and built by members of the Wheaton Fire Prevention Association and is designed to provide exceptional service to the Town of Wheaton — offering a brand new, reliable, capable, and maneuverable vehicle to respond quickly and effectively to a variety of emergencies.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this possible. Your continued support ensures that our community remains safe, strong, and well-served. A special thank you to our volunteer firefighters and medical first responders for selflessly investing so much time in our fundraising efforts.
